What is Ankle Arthroscopy?
Ankle arthroscopy is a minimally invasive technique. Small incisions are made over the ankle and a fiber optic camera is used to view the interior of the ankle. Removal of loose bodies and joint debridement are the most common reasons to have this type of surgery. It can also be help for treatment of osteochondral lesions of the talus and the treatment of ankle impingement in appropriately selected patients.
