I am an orthopedic surgeon with over two decades of experience dedicated to helping people restore mobility, relieve pain, and return to the activities that give their lives meaning. My career has been shaped by a passion for both advanced surgical solutions and holistic approaches that address the body as a whole..
Trained in United Kingdom and the United States, I have developed expertise across a wide spectrum of orthopedic care, from joint replacement and sports medicine to trauma surgery and patient-centered rehabilitation. My work is further enriched by the integration of modern, non-invasive techniques such as Class IV laser therapy, which accelerates healing and provides effective pain management without the risks of long-term medication..
Dr. Declerk and the MOCSM team look forward to being involved in your care.

Research & Innovation – Ongoing project on medicinal foods and their role in healing

Philosophy of Care
I treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis. My practice emphasizes shared decision-making, functional goals, and long-term wellness: clear communication, individualized plans, and practical lifestyle strategies complement technical excellence in the operating room.
Global & Humanitarian Work
As a procurement contractor with Care Across Frontiers, I’ve contributed to international medical missions delivering essential care in resource-limited settings. That work continually shapes my commitment to accessible, high-quality medicine. In addition, I have spent over 20 years researching the healing potential of medicinal foods — exploring how what we eat directly impacts recovery, immunity, and long-term health. This project reflects my belief that modern medicine and ancient wisdom can work hand-in-hand to optimize patient outcomes.

A Life in Balance
Outside of medicine, I value the practices that keep me grounded and inspired. I enjoy yoga, golfing, cooking fresh meals, and wine tasting. Traveling allows me to explore new cultures and perspectives, and some of my most meaningful experiences have come from global adventures, including an unforgettable trip to Japan.
